The people who attend The Base for daytime support, or visitors who enjoy the weekly activities here should feel safe, secure and welcome at all times.
We actively encourage friendships; providing opportunities for people to expand their social circles and benefit from all that comes with these relationships - a sense of belonging, feelings of inclusion, improved social skills and wellbeing.
As such, we want to ensure that any negative behaviours targeted at those who attend (bullying) are dealt with so reoccurances are minimised.
In June 2015, a 'The Base Say No To Bullying' booklet was created and made available to all service users who attend, their families and carers. A copy can be found below.
